Probate - Consent - process

Dear all, My grandfather (died 15/8/1994) has left a will stating the house in his name will be given to my brother and me. The legal heirship certificate has the names of my grandmother, my aunt and my father. My grandfather had another wife prior to my grandmother - not divorced (both married prior to 1950 - my grandmother is still alive. The first wife of my grandfather has also passed away) and they had 2 daughters (both of whom are now passed away). The sons of the eldest daughter of my grandfather's first wife had claimed a share in the said property and have lodged a case against my grandmother, father and aunt. This has been running for the last 10 years. We had reached a compromise for a financial settlement for the 2 sons, along with the second daughter of my grandfather's first wife. We had paid 1.5 lakhs to each of the 2 sons and also the second daughter, while the remaining half will be settled on completion of the probate. While this case was going on, she (2nd daughter of grandfather's first wife) also passed away. She has 3 daughters who did not feature in the case. Our lawyer isn't very helpful or approachable, but we. need to close this asap. Sow, the 2 sons of the first wife's daughter are OK to give the consent. But since the 2nd daughter has now passed away, what all consent is needed from the opposite parties? Could the daughters of the 2nd daughter of my grandfather contest this? Consent is being obtained from my grandmother and aunt (from the 2nd marriage of my grandfather) - so that's not a problem. Could appreciate/request on what could be the next steps I could take. . As said earlier, my lawyer is not very forthcoming and hence the request. Best Regards,
