Vehicle sale

Good day sirs/Ma'am, I am one of the partners and Authorized signatory of a Homestay. We sold one of the company vehicles and completed the sale transaction in the year 2020 in the month of November. A car dealer was introduced to us through a known source and approached us to help in closing the sale around July 2020. After discussion and agreeing to the terms, handed over the vehicle to car dealer in Mid Aug. There was a written agreement of sale made between our company and Car dealer. Based on his selling skills a potential buyer transferred money to my account. There was no direct interaction with this man whatsoever. Form 29 and 30 was signed in Nov 2020 and Delivery note was given to us by Car dealer and he signed on it. Buyer was not present to collect it. Original RC and Insurance documents were handed over to Car Dealer along with spare keys. Car dealer confirmed, vehicle transfer will be done immediately. For some reason buyer after taking delivery from car dealer, identified some minor issues and wanted this to be rectified before taking possession. Car dealer took the vehicle again for service. However, later buyer decided not to take delivery of the vehicle and demanded car dealer to return his money. According to car dealer, due to this reason, he had to find another buyer. Once he found a new buyer, gave a cheque from his own bank account to first buyer. However, asked the first buyer to wait to deposit the check till money is transferred by new buyer to his account. First buyer in a hurry deposited and same and it was bounced. First buyer filed a case of check bounce against Car dealer and 420 case against me representing the company as I was involved in the sales transaction. As per the case, vehicle is not delivered to him. Not sure how to handle this. The new buyer now wants me to provide signature to complete the transfer. Vehicle is still in our company name. Police is expecting some money to drop my name from the case. I haven’t received a copy of complaint or FIR from police. Request your advise on how to handle this.
