Property matter

My father made an agreement for purchase of agricultural land 32 G us 43 type in Maharashtra,with the farmer in 1989. He gave him part amount as advance. Later he didn't show interest hence my father filed a suit against him which he didn't attend. In 1994 court decreed the suit exparte and asked the farmer to transfer the land in my father's name with injunction on farmer to further sale. In contravention,In 1996 the farmer sold the same land to a company for industrial use without intimating us.During 2003 my father through local court got all permissions including prescribed Nazrana premium for buying in the continuous absence of farmer and further made registered deed in which court appointed commissioner Nazar acted on behalf of farmer. In 2011 my father expired and the land was inherited to myself and other family members. In 2018 we sold the land with sale deed. Now the company to which the farmer sold the land made a complaint to tahsildar about their right of becoming the first land owner and tahsildar in tern passed an impugned order to instigate us in a police case for some alleged double sell of same land by us to further harass .My question here is how can a criminal case can be put & that can affect us since the earlier city civil court order is favouring us & what are the next steps to be taken to avoid demaging unnecessary criminal proceedings when the case is purely civil type & safeguard my right as owner.
