Annulment of Marriage

My son is Canada PR. His marriage was solemnized on May 15, 2022, with a Ludhiana-based family. However, the fact that surfaced later was surprising, shocking, and against set standards of the family’s faith and disciplines. We are a devoted Sikh family, searching a GurSikh girl. We categorically conveyed it to the girl’s parent (under reference) before setting the first meeting. The parents of the girl showed us a girl without makeup on her face. However, after the marriage, we came to know that there is abnormal hair growth on her face (including upper lip, chin, and neck), which they removed. As Sikh, we did not expect hair removal. We are shocked and feel cheated. We realized that girl’s parents played a game with us. They showed what they wanted to show. They hid what they wanted to hide. They hide her REAL-FACE. Which prevented our liberty to reject or select, and we decided in the way they desired. It was a manipulation, cheat & fraud to get a Canadian PR boy by hook or crook. On religious grounds too, they hurt our sentiments. They are cutting their hair, which is unacceptable in Sikh way of life, but cheated us. When we discussed it with them, instead of realizing they started blaming, humiliating, and tormenting us. Kindly, advise us: If we e for the annulment of the marriage. • Is this a solid ground for decree of nullity (annulment)? • If, yes, kindly advice the procedure. • If No, Kindly, give other way out.
