Can someone claim a property after 56 years

I am looking for buying a land in Chennail, which was first Sold to Chidambara Mudaliar by VenkataRathna Mudaliar in the year 1902, and then land was owned by Vadivelu Mudaliar who was the only legal heir of Chidambara Mudaliar, then the ownership was passed on to Umapathy Ammal who was the only legal heir of Vadivelu Mudaliar. There is no document evidence available for the sale in 1902, and for the legal heir proof. Then the Land was sold to R.L.Narayanan in 1966 - all required documents available for this sale, but there is absolutely no document available prior to 1966, then the land was bought in the year 2001 by the person who will be selling this to me, and the EC is clear clear from 1966 to till date, and he has got SLR on his name, provides tax receipts as well. Can any of the heirs of Umapathy Ammal or Vadivelu Mudaliar claim this property after I buy it? All the information prior to 1966 is available in a legal opinion given in 2001, but the seller does not have any of these documents, Is it safe to buy this land?
