498a and dv case

Questions related to 498A: My brother's wife has put a 498a complaint against him, my father, myself, and my husband. We have got a call from the police and my brother and father have participated in mediation. Mediation has failed and in the last 2 months we have not got any information from the police station, we have not been given a copy of the complaint. 1) What should we do to get to know the progress of that complaint? 2) Is there a time limit for an FIR to be lodged and do we have an option to raise a request to get it dismissed? Questions related to DV Case: 3 weeks back we have got a notice under the DV act. There are various vague charges against all 4 of us related to physical & mental cruelty and dowry without any documentary evidence submitted along with the petition. I, my husband and father do not have any domestic relationship with my brother's wife except few occasional short visits. Also, she is living at her father's place for the last 15 months. 1) Apart from responding to DV notice what all options do we have? 2) At what stage of the case we can file a quashing petition in the high court and under which section? 3) To file a quashing petition what all documentary evidence do we need to submit? DV petition has been filed from a location where my sister-in-law's father has a house. My sister-in-law is a government servant working in a different district 200+km away from the court's location. Marriage has happened in a different state and my brother also lives in a different state. 4) Do we have an option to say it doesn't come under the current court's jurisdiction? if yes how do we approach? Thank you
