Joining the Client of my Ex-Employer

Hello Experts. I left my ex-employer about 6 months ago, and opted for freelancing. While I was leaving (6 months ago), one of my ex-employers customer (Lets call it Client ABC) reached out to me and asked me to let them know whenever I am open for a new role to work with them. Fast forward today, I reached out to Client ABC asking if there are any openings and reminding them that they had asked me to reach out to them 6 months ago in case I change my mind. While I left my ex-employer, in my F&F Letter there was a clause plainly stated "I agree with company policy that joining [Current Company]'s customer org. for the next two years is subject to a breach of trust under the contract act with the [Current Company]". The contract act states "You are prohibited from competing with the company and from using corporate property, information or position for personal opportunities". If i proceed in joining Client ABC, will my ex-employer be taking me to court? Also, there was no Non-Solicitation agreement signed by me. It's just the last sentence in my F&F letter which links with code of conduct (Contract Act)
