Father's right after getting his daughter married

I have a daughter married off to a decent person. Now my son-in-law's uncle, who is a bank officer by profession, is heading a small religious group that was founded by his late father who was a swamiji till his death. My entire family including myself are members of this religious group. My daughter became a member after her marriage. Due to some difference of opinion regarding observance of some religious rituals, I have quit this group. Now, as per the rules framed by the late swamiji, a person would be excommunicated once he goes against the principles framed by him and all the fellow members would be instructed to sever all contacts with him. Under such circumstances, it is feared that my daughter who, being a member of this group, may be compelled to follow such instructions and sever links with me. So, can I take legal protection on the grounds that practising or preaching a religion is a fundamental right and cannot be imposed by somebody and ,hence it cannot be taken as a valid reason for my daughter severing contacts with me. If pressurised by the surviving religious head, can I file a complaint on Domestic Violence.
