Am I wrongfully penalized under section 112 Customs Act?

Back in 2019, I ordered bachelorette party games from Aliexpress before it was banned by the Indian Govt. (Bachelorette = party held for a woman who is about to get married by her female friends). The items in question were - 1)Pin The P***s game(in which blindfolded players try to pin the cardboard cartoon p***s cutouts on a poster of a cartoon man) and 2)P***s Ring Toss game(in which players toss rings on to a plastic target). These are common bachelorette party games. You can google it to see what they look like. The total value including shipping was ₹763.20 only. In October 2019, I got a show cause notice saying that I've violated provisions under section 11, subsection 2(b) of Customs Act by importing one "Adult toy" and will be liable for penal code under section 112 of the Customs Act. I promptly emailed [deleted] and sent a letter via post as well and clarified that it was not an adult toy but just party games. I requested them to dispose of it and waive off the penalty as I was unaware that it was a punishable offence. I didn't hear back from them so I thought all was well and good but today after more than a year, I got another show cause notice for the same. How do I proceed from here? Should I write to them again and request for penalty waive-off? Please advise.
