Cheque bounce

Dear Law Experts, A lower court had announced a 2 years’ sentence for me under NIA 138 in October 2019. It gave me 60 days’ time for appeal, on depositing 20% of the amount decided by the court. Actual amount of the cheque was Rs. 5,42,000/- but court ordered to pay 9,60,000/-. The 20% of this amount is almost 2 lakhs which was something beyond my capacity. However, I was granted the bail on the same day. I tried so hard but at last I failed to deposit the 20% of the amount required to allow me to avail the provision of an appeal in the higher court. Despite this, my appeal was accepted. There was only 1 hearing and then the CORONA approached and the courts started discharging only emergency cases. Still, I am not in position to deposit this 20% amount for a month or so. Meanwhile, I had the hearing in appeal court on 1st Nov. The court said that first I need to deposit this 20% within 4-5 days, otherwise the appeal will be rejected and it gave me next date with a week’s time. My request to you all the renowned law experts is that how could I get at least A MONTH’S TIME from the appeal or the lower court in this regard so that I could deposit 20% of the amount and take my appeal to next level? Is there any provision which could help me in seeking a month’s extra time. In fact, the corona has affected me badly like many others world wide and on the other hand I have no property at all which could help me arrange this amount of about 2 lakhs. No relative or anybody in my circle is interested to help me. So I seek court’s help to seek justice. The honourable courts must see the practicality too. Please guide and help me, at your earliest. I will be highly obliged. Regards
