Escort Service

I had, in my worst mind, paid an escort company for availing objectionable media online based on their word that the security deposit part would be refunded. I did not receive the objectionable content (not at all related to grievous criminal nature like child content or rape), but they refused to refund the amount. Irritated to lose a huge amount, I filed a complaint in cybercrime.gov.in and it got transferred to the local police station. The next day, I got call from police asking for me to submit proof of me paying the money and other details. In the greed of getting my money back, I sent it to the police too. Now I'm scared that they might call me for court proceedings and other procedures, which I'm literally scared of. Is there any provision for this situation to turn against me in any case? I read online that once FIR is filed, it cannot be reversed unless by a High Court. Will I be summoned to court if the accused are arrested? If that's the case is it advisable to forget the loss and request police not to file FIR (if it has not been done yet)? If it has been filed, what are the options I have to avoid visits to police station/court? If there is no option to avoid court proceedings, will I require a lawyer to handle my case or can I simply state my case in layman language and hope for the best so that it doesn't backfire on me?
