How do I get my processing fees back and can I sue for damages?

Hi! I applied for an unsecured education loan from Avanse, an Indian NBFC, for my masters at Rutgers University. At the beginning of the application, they asked me where all I had gotten accepted and I mentioned UC Berkeley to them. However, the maximum loan amount they were offering was not enough to cover expenses for UC Berkeley, which is why I applied for Rutgers and mentioned the same in my application form and all correspondence with them from the very beginning. They charged me Rs 58,000 as processing fees after telling me that the loan had been approved for Rutgers, and said that the sanction letter will be issued to me soon. Once the sanction letter came it mentioned 'UC Berkeley' as the college instead of 'Rutgers' which I initially thought was some sort of error. When I called them up they told me that the loan has been approved for UC Berkeley and not Rutgers. Please note that all the documents I have provided them with have Rutgers on them and that this was very unexpected. Now they're saying there's nothing I can do. The sanctioned loan amount is of no use to me with respect to UC Berkeley, since the total expenses are way more. I am out of options and they're refusing to return my processing fees payment of Rs 58,000.
