Owner refusing to return security advance

I had moved in 2016 to a rented house which had a prior history of heavy seepage in the walls. The same was communicated to me by the previous tenant and I had asked the landlord to correct it before I moved in. After I moved in, in few months I realised he had only got whitewash done over it and not solved the root cause plumbing issue. I pointed it to him on multiple occasions but he didn't take any action. After 2 years, my bed next to a seepage infested wall showed signs of termite. I got termite control who removed the termite but clearly stated that seepage will cause termite to return. So after 3 years, I decided to move out in 2019. While shifting, I found the termites had reappeared and again damaged my entire double bed. I had to take a huge loss and throw it away in the presence of my landlord. I handed over the house keys and moved out. After I have handed over the possession, 3 days later when I am asking him to refund the security amount, he is now claiming I brought the termites in the house and says it has damaged the wooden flooring despite the fact that till the day I left, there was absolutely no damage to the floor. He is not only refusing to refund the 60,000 deposit but asking for additional damages. What legal recourse can I take when it is clear that the termite infestation is due to the seepage in the house and hence not caused by me.
