Bank has lost property original documents

I recently brought a resale-property in Kandiwali for 80L+government charges, out of which i applied for Home loan for 60L. We had completed Sell deed with previous owner in Jan-19. As previous property owner has pending housing loan of 46L over the property, after our Sell Deed is competed, my Homeloan bank provided cheque in the favor of previous owner to close the pending housing loan and get all the original documents back from his homeloan bank. however, his homeloan bank came to us after 2 months in Mar-19 stating that there was major fire causality happened in Oct-2017 with respect to their document keeping third part premises, which caused all the specific property document with respect to property got burned out, and they can't provide any original documents. They promised to provide us all certified copies with respect to the property. Even after year and half, his bank had not inform him about such causality, they have not informed even when we had requested List of Documents with respect to property bank having in their possession. Rather they inform us when he went for Loan closure after 2 months. If we have already known about such fact, I as investor had not invested in the property itself or would have cancelled out deal before going ahead for Sell Deed. What can be possible consequence, if I am going to sell this property in future, if i am not having original property documents and only having certified documents for the property..?? Can I ask for the compensation for loss of such important documents, and to whom.. the owner from whom i brought the property or from his bank..?? And how much compensation can i claim...?? As we have not received original documents yet, society has not transferred shares on my name and not giving NOC for renting out the flat. So I am facing financial loss from both side as I am already paying EMIs and I am not getting rent out of the property yet.. can I claim this loss as well
