Civil Contempt and s.156(3) CrPC

My sister was married in 2013 but due to mutual differences, both my sister and my brother in law decided to separate by way of court under mutual divorce proceedings (In Delhi) without our knowledge. 1st Motion was signed and during that the husband made a statement that he would be giving Rs, 1,50,000/- initially for the next six months and rest of the 5 Lacs later. Afterwards, she told us that she signed the first motion under pressure and constant nagging by her husband, husband's elder brother and their counsel. She said that she did not want divorce. We approached a lawyer, who filed s.9 HMA (In Gurgaon) but the husband did not appear even after accepting the notice. Hence, court proceeded Ex-Parte. Later, he appeared in the court with s.13 HMA petition and Application for setting aside ex-parte order in s.9 HMA. Both these application and petitins are still pending. On the last date of hearing, the husband submitted few docs: Civil Contempt against my sister (In Delhi High Court) and criminal complaint under s.156(3) CrPC under s. 420 IPC (In Delhi). Both these matter are now listed in January, 2019. We told him to appear in Civil Contempt an s.156(3) CrPC and contest the same but he is saying that we do not need to appear in any of the proceedings as we have already approached family court and filed s.9 HMA, therefore, court will dismiss CIVIL CONTEMPT and s.156(3) CrPC proceedings. We are doubtful with his advice. Please put us on right track.
