Hindu marriage act.

Hello, I have a question for you regarding marriage in India. I’m german citizen and my fiancé is from India, we have been together for 5 years now and want to get married in India. Last year I have been to India to see my fiancé we have been to the German embassy of dehli to get to know all information about getting married and what documents we have to provide they told us we can only get married through the special marriage act, but that would be a problem coz of my job which means I would have come to India two times first for doing the appointment and the second time for the marriage. Now we want to get married through the Hindu marriage act as I read on the German embassy side that it will be accept but only if both of us have the same religion, I am Christian and he’s sikh. So that would mean that I would have to convert to sikh or Hindu which is possible but in India they don’t give out such a paper called religion conversion, which I would have to prove that me and my fiancé got married according the German and Indian law.. so now we really in struggle and don’t know what to do now and how we can get married. We already trying since one year we talked to lawyers and to the German embassy but they all just telling us the same thing. So if we want to get married through the Hindu marriage act what can we do and how do that it will be accepted in India and Germany. Sincerely. Zimmermann
