VRS rejection not comuunicated in notice period

I'm a Central Govt. employee and I applied for VRS after completing 33 yrs of qualifying service under rule 48 of CCS (Pension) Rules 1972. Please consider the following: Date of application : [deleted] Date of Retirement : [deleted] (F/N) Transferred order from Unit1 to Unit 2 : [deleted] VRS rejection by appointing Authority : [deleted](but not informed to me) (Reason for rejection - disciplinary action contemplated & criminal prosecution under various sections of IPC & PC act have been initiated by CBI/ACB ; Latest update : FIR filed but no chargesheet issued till date) Reported to Unit 2 : [deleted] Intimated Unit 2 @ VRS : [deleted] now, till 01/08/2017(F/N) I didn't receive any communication neither from appointing auth. nor from Unit1 or from Unit 2. My VRS became absolute as per the rule position on 01/08/2017(F/N) on completion of the notice period. Unit 2 informs me about VRS Rejection by email on : [deleted]; for which formal letter is received by normal post on [deleted]. However, the rejection is communicated to me after my retirement becoming absolute on 01/08/2017 (F/N). Now, I've not been attending duty since my retirement is effective and Unit 2 claims that I've been on un-authorised absence, and not granting me any terminal benefits including pension since [deleted]. Sir, please guide me about the legalities in this case and if I shall proceed to file a writ for granting me terminal benefits?
