Law regarding absconded employee.

Hello, i am working in it sector bangalore. I was working in ia mnc but after 5 months of my joining I got better offer and I resigned from my current company but my newer company was not ready to wait for 3 months notice period even after I had put a note to them that I don't want to take a 5 months gap of my carrier by absconding. Still they were not ready to wait they told further they will cancel my offer letter because I want to switch for my better personal growth. At the time of joining my 2nd company told as per offer letter the working hour should be 9 to 6 and if work load will be there then some more hour to extend. But afterjoing i extended upto night 1 o clock. Also coming back to my room from office without any security i faced some difficulties some thretghting from local guys. So that time i felt better to leave this company againg I got offer. I joined other company by absconding. But at the time of joining they issued me with joining bonus. So as I am not taking my releiving letter and experience certificate whether its mandatory to give joining bonus? As i faced so much problems because of this compnay whether they ll go for legal action if I won't return joing bonus of 30K. Please advice me?
