Company not giving salary for bench period and blocked experience letters

I worked for a consulting firm for a client for around 6 months. Things at client side were not going great hence I requested my firm to search some other client and place me there. One day I had heated conversation with team lead at client side and client released me. I was released on 27-NOV-2017 by client. I called my firm and asked if I need to attend their office during this period till the time they find new client for me. HR said not required. They delayed my NOV salary and paid me at the end of December. When I asked for December salary they denied saying there is NO salary processed as I have not worked for any client. (Offer Letter DOES NOT mention that employee will NOT get paid if not allocated to any client.) When I sent Lawyer's notice demanding my dues they replied saying it was because of unprofessional attitude client released me and they ceased/terminated me on 27-NOV itself. They are telling in month of MARCH that they terminated me in NOV-17. I know this trick is just to avoid paying me my salary as I have not resigned and they did not terminate me in writing till today. In this process they have BLOCKED my Exp and Rel Letters because of which I am facing problems in searching jobs at other companies. Please ADVISE.
