Obc non creamy layer status and govt. exam

I have authentic and valid OBC Non Creamy Layer certificate. My father is a retired Group B govt. employee (with some private earnings in private profession) and my mother is a housewife (with some private earnings such as rent, handicrafts etc). Both of them file ITR. With the claim of this certificate, I had applied for a govt. exam under OBC NCL. However while filling the OBC annexure form for the 2nd stage of the exam I realised that my obc certificate was made based only on my father's income. Adding my mother's income along with the father's breaches the income from other sources beyond 6 lakh limit (I am of the opinion that if she is filing tax return as a housewife, then her income will be included under Other sources for obc claim, correct me if I am wrong ?). The OBC annexure form has distinctly asked for mother's income and ITR along with fathers. What should I do ? 1. Play safe and ignore mother's details in the form like PAN and ITR. (as I was not aware of the information initially while applying, nor were the authorities who issued the certificate) and wait for them to ask. 2. or Enter mother's details right away in the form and wait for the exam authority to check for discrepancy and question my claim of NCL at any later stage. In case they terminate my claim for reservation and shift me to general category, I am fine with it. 3. or Inform the exam authority about it. Generally, change in category is not entertained once applied as per the exam rules. What are the possible consequences ? Is there any scope of criminal charges against me if my income claim breaches ?
