Falsely Alleged in an accident case.

"Crime no. 262/2017 P/s malpura me dhara 279 ipc me Mr bhattachary ki wife ke agaist case resiterd hai". Sir, On 22nd April 2017 while returning from a rehearsal at around 9.15p.m. in our car driven by my wife along with myself, my daughter aged 10yrs and five other children of age between 8-14 yrs. we saw a accident occurred victim lying bloodsheded in middle of the road just 500mtrs away from our residence. The road being risky in night while passing aside from the sight a man tried to stop our car by signaling with his hand. But due to security reasons ignoring him as we proceeded a couple of mtrs another man attacked our car by throwing a stone on the front windscreen. We being totally frightened speeding our car reached our home and dispatched the other children to their house. Around 20-30 minutes later we were reported by our township security guards that a group of around 30-40 people gathered at the gate and alleging and claiming that a car whose front windscreen has been broken has crashed/dashed a stranger whom we have already seen.(as mentioned above). The crowd then called the 100mobile police. They came and enquired us about the incident. We told them the real fact along with some of the children who were with us also gave the factual statement which was video recorded by the police.Even a lady neighbor who arrived just a few minutes before us, passing through the accidental place also claimed to see the victim already in accident conditions. However after passing through a traumatic mental conditions being receiving threats from the persons related to the victim and also from time to time demanding of money by the police who several times falsely stated that FIR' has been filed. Finally yesterday we received the message as quoted at the beginning. To mention that the insurance policy of the car was unknowingly lapsed on19th April and Permanent DL of my wife has been stolen a couple of months before for which we have a copy of Application/FIR that was filed at the local police station. What is now to be done and what will happen? Is it a very serious case? Please help. From: Aninda Bhattacharya, Agra.
