Meaning of noc

I have applied for a job in a PSU where I am working at present at lower level post. I am a departmental candidate. At the time of apply, it was mentioned in the advertisement that NOC from employer must be obtained on or before closing date of apply. I had intimated about my apply for the job prior to the closing date and requested to issue NOC as and when required since I am a departmental candidate. Normally, that condition does not arise in any competitive exams for job. NOC is required at the time of interview only if you have cleared the written test. I believe I have good score in the written test. Then, I cleared the written test. I got the latest NOC from the employer for the Group Discussion and Interview. At the date of interview, I had submitted the latest NOC and the agency has accepted the same without any problem, even one candidate working in AG office was allowed to submit the latest NOC within 7 days from the date of interview. I would like to know whether my candidature will be accepted or not. I believe that If I did not posses the desired NOC on date of interview, I should not been allowed to appear for GD and PI itself. Since, I was allowed to appear for GD and PI, my candidature should be accepted for final result also. Kindly tell me whether my candidature should be accepted or not. If not, should I go to Court? on what basis. I am working in the same organization, whether NOC is mandatory for me for the job? Term and condition on the advertisement: 1.
